There ought to be a caution sign as you enter the Yakov Smirnoff Theatre in Branson, Missouri. It should read “Warning! Hold on to your seat ‘cause this guy is about to blow you away with dynamite comedy!” This funny ‘guy’ of course is Yakov Smirnoff.

From the heartland of America, our funny philosopher takes us on a comedic journey and brings us unique insights into life, family, and these United States. Yakov’s personal experience of coming to America is touching and his take on American culture is absolutely hilarious. Yakov’s genuine love for America is apparent throughout his show, and his patriotism is positively contagious. As Yakov says, “What A Country,” you’ll feel like cheering for the red, white, and blue!
In this fast-paced production, Yakov introduces us to Lady Liberty, takes a turn as the United States President; explores the Laboratory of Laughter; and delivers some razor sharp humor as he focuses on the dynamics between men and women, the happiness that can be found inside oneself, and celebrates the spirit of life.
The action keeps speeding up as the authentic Russian Dance Troupe leaps and twirls across the stage – and Yakov even takes a unique spin of his own! Speaking of spins…Yakov also uses keen observation and timely wit to comment on the relationships between men and women. In fact, in 2006 Yakov earned his master’s degree in applied positive psychology from the Univ. of Penn. During his show, Professor Smirnoff provides humorous insight on the indisputable differences between the genders and shows us how “Love and Laughter” go hand in hand!
